Hi !

After the Zero recall which upgraded the battery to a 12.5, i'd like to polish the plastics which are a bit scratchs (nothing deep, but the normal use of plastic rubbing against a jean or keychain).

Any idea what product / method works best ? Someone advised Mirror or toothpaste, but it did not work so well. I also used a plastic renovating product which works ok but only hides scratches - i also need a surface treatment to polish them.

Any idea ?

I haven't gotten around to using it yet but someone recommended Plexus and/or Honda's plastic cleaner and polish.

Those products won't remove scratches.  I have had very good luck with S100 Total Cycle Finish Restorer when it comes to removing small scratches on an automotive painted surface.

They work well on your clear gauge cluster areas.. but they wont work as well on the polished bodywork.
You want real paint polish for that stuff. Meguires or 3M both make excellent very fine polishes for buffing. HAND BUFF the plastic, do not use any powertools. chances of melting or overdoing it are too great.

once done, Then use plexus or honda polish. It will stay cleaner, and have a deep glossy shine like new.

As a side note, Honda polish smells amazing. I love the stuff.

I've used a polishing fluid from a furniture maker next to me with great effect polishing by hand.
