Does anyone have a rough estimate on how much further back on the bike a person could sit with the Corbin?  That (and the aesthetics) would be the main reason that I'd get one.

It definitely is designed to allow seating further back. I'll have to measure when I get home, but the visual comparison tool on the website shows a good three inches, and it's sculpted for flat seating right up to the transition.

I like it specifically so I can lean forward enough to smooth the airflow down my back behind the Parabellum.

After my tire change, I'll start looking into a Corbin (one thing at a time). The stock seat is my only major complaint on an otherwise really fun bike.

And Air Hawk pad might be a less-expensive option worth looking into. It provides some extra height and can fill in the seat "bowl" a bit.   ???

I have an Air Hawk that I bought for a previous bike.  Thought I'd try it for a highway jaunt on the Zero, but it elevated me far too much.  (though possibly I had too much air in it).

FYI: Unfortunately I purchased a Corbin seat for my 2015 Zero S only to discover that it was no better (comfort wise) than the stock seat. It does look nicer but that is all I got for $450. I would recommend that anyone wanting this seat to find a Zero with this seat and go for a 2 hour ride. See my post #75 on July 25, 2016.

Let us know in 5000 miles if that improves;  The stock seat on my DSR sure hasn't gotten any more comfortable in 5k miles! :)

Corbins need a few hundred miles to break in and conform to your particular posterior. That's been my experience over the decades.  My most recent Corbin is on my 2013 BMW C650GT.  Took a couple of long, overnight trips and it is just perfect now.

That might be a nice, cheaper alternative.  Anything that saves the family jewels is a good thing.

Mine took about 1000 miles or so to break in perfectly too.  It definitely is a little stiff at first.  But that's how its supposed to be.  It will conform to you over time and is great!

I'm also considering one. What colour options did you guys take? (There seem to be a million of combinations.)

I have blue piping with carbon fiber looking sides and black top

Mine is a Corbin Zero seat modified to sit even farther back to allow more room for my dog.  I love it!

They are very stiff the first 1000 miles or so but breaks in real nicely to fit your rear end perfectly.  I can ride all day now and not even feel like I was riding.  At least on my butt.  Its a lot wider and spreads the load out more evenly.

I have black/black with silver piping.  Goes good on my DSR.  I agree on the break in, I have about 2K on mine now and my but is fine on a 50 mile commute (each way).

The only complaint I have is that the Corbin does not quite fit snuggly on the bike.  I have about a 1/4" gap at the back of the seat that I can't seem to get rid of.  I have not tried that hard.

+1 on black/black/silver. It doesn't look gaudy, or try to attract your attention, it just looks fantastic. My bike has been SR red and retroreflective purple, and that seat went with both color schemes extremely well.

Anyone put a Corbin on an FX? I'd like to improve the pillon and maybe improve my comfort a little too.

As I recall the first Corbin seat on a Zero was for an FX.

Now I'm not sure about what was the first Corbin seat on a Zero...

I'm about to give Corbin a shout to get a seat for my yellow 2013.  Right now, I'm considering grey leather for the seat, yellow vinyl for the sides and tail, and black vinyl for the piping.  I was humming and hawing about leather vs vinyl for the seat.  Does anybody have any good/bad experiences with leather vs vinyl on the seat area?  My seat won't see a lot of rain, but there will be some.  Likewise, it won't see extended periods in the sunlight too much. And I've never really had issues with sweat on vinyl with any of my past motorcycles up here (north of Calgary, Alberta, Canada).

I've had Corbin seats on a number of my motorcycles. I've had all leather and leather/vinyl mixxed seats. the vinyl is of very high quality and I had no weathering issues in every day/year round use. Treat the leather with a good conditioner and it'll last the life of the bike. I use a q-tip to apply a light coating of vasaline on the stitching as an extra preventative against water intrusion into the foam. I went with all leather on my '17 SR.

I had a leather Corbin and didn't like it.  Too slippery for my taste.  Also, keeping the leather supple and in good condition took more work than I expected. I prefer good quality vinyl, with an anti-skid surface for motorcycle seats.
