Corbin Seat available for 2013-2017 Zero's now
« on: April 26, 2016, 04:10:12 AM »

It looks amazing!!!

http://corbin.com/zero/zero13.shtml

And less than $400!!!

Corbins custom seats are usually in the $800 and up range so this is a real treat!!

Oh HAIL yes!

Now we just need to convince Mike there's good money to be made in the fairing business.

Whoa! Corbin delivered. Maybe Corbin will deliver something else, too... :)

Well, it looks like an improvement over the Corbin Zero seat that I bought for my 2012 S. That thing was hard and flat.   ::)

I can't decide if I'm more excited that it's a nice Corbin seat or that I can customize it to be blue.

In any case, Corbin has separated me from $400 now for a Very Blue seat.

This looks great and priced rather well. Chomping at the bit to order mine. Just waiting for all the ducks to get in line :D. Brown seat.

That's awesome! Thanks Terry for your role in making that happen. I'm sure you had something to do with it…. Definitely will be looking into this very soon.

Very nice, I like black, black, black for the DSR.  I wonder if it will fit OK with the Givi Top Box in place?  Looks like it would.

Imagine how a 6'4" guy feels ;-(

To me, the stock seat is angled too much forward/down. Today I pushed myself a bit more towards the rear of the seat where it widens and it is quite comfortable there. However, holding that position requires too much effort - the seat is sloped down and I slide back down to the uncomfortable section.

Looking at the side by side photo of the Corbin vs. Stock seat, the Corbin appears more horizontal than stock, which means my backside will more naturally settle over the wider and more comfortable area more towards the rear vs. stock. Or so it seems.

I wonder if I can raise the front of the stock seat or lower the rear to achieve that effect?

Is it better than the stock in terms of comfort? Looks great!

Unfortunately, from your photo, it looks like it is still angled downwards forward, just like the stock seat is. I'd be quite happy with the stock seat if I could seat in the wider rear part without being pushed to slide forwards when I do that. I'm contemplating just rising the two rails that hold the front seat to the frame so I can mount the stock seat higher in the front (will have to deal with the gap somehow).

The photo must be misleading, it is flat compared to the stock seat for sure
