I asked Zero on Facebook if they are attending this year "INTERMIT" fair in cologne germany, but so far received no answer.
I really hope the new 2017 models will have a more faster charging system installed and that the ABS system gets improved.

If all things go well, i will receive my motorbike drivers license by the end of next week. Fingers crossed that i pass the practical tests.  8)
Can´t wait to order a 2017 Zero then.

Greetings from germany

Yup, it was the Intermot not the Intermit (Typo).

Yes its passed, and without zero. But not sure if the Intermot is that important or not.

With 220.000 visitors it isn't a small player and the EU HQ isn't that far. I'm surprised that they didn't attend.

Douglas Motorcycles in San Bernardino, CA, told me today that the 2017 Zero models will be revealed on October 19, 2016.  Can anyone confirm?

That's the date they tell dealers when they can order 2017s and the prices.  Dealers may also find out specs.

The 2017 models won't be announced to the public until EICMA.

Ok, today i passed the practical driving test for the big motorcycles.  8) (In germany it´s called class "A")

Indeed i only decided to get this license due to Zero motorcycles. Usually i don´t like machines that make big noises and produce gasoline smell.
With Zero i now see these machines in a completely different way.

Can´t wait for the 2017 lineup.

I really hope they make the cableways cleaner, since on the DS they really could block the view to the display.

Congratulations on passing your driving test, I'm sure that feels great!

I too can't wait for the 2017 lineup and see what Zero has in store for us. I take it you are interested in the DS?

I am currently more interested in the SR. But this is only based on the youtube reviews i have seen so far. The sitting position and the seat is often reviewed as more comfy on the SR. From design my feeling is that the DS looks more "agressive" than the "harmless" SR.

If the weather is good this  friday i probably can test-drive a DS and a SR to make a decision based on my preferences.

I took a ZERO S for a test ride the other day in Sydney. They would have given me the SR but only had an S available. Well... even the S is awesome! I sooo want one.

I'm happy with the range and power of 2016... though I'd really like to see LED headlights for 2017. Seems a shame to have a bike focused on efficiency just to 'waste' power through old fashioned incandescent globes (even though it probably wouldn't make much difference to range, it would just be cooler!)

I too am interested in the SR. Got to demo one a year ago and loved it. The DS is not my style but even if it was the seat height is just too high for me.

Let us know how you liked the DS and the SR, after you take them for a spin.

There is no describing the feeling of riding one of these bikes. Awesome is definitely a word I would use also. I'd also like to see LED headlights.

A few more weeks and then we get to see what the 2017's are all about!

I too would like to see an LED light stock.  As the bikes go further on a charge, it actually makes more sense than it did before.  When the range was short, the run time wasn't long enough to have any noticeable impact.  And it isn't highway travel you will see a difference.  It's slow city riding.  Because its a factor of time.  For 200 miles city riding at 35 mph, that's 6 hours of riding you can do now with a power tank.  (I've actually gone 237 miles on a single charge on my 2015 around the Bay Area on beach frontal surface streets)

6 hours of a headlight using 30 watts instead of 60 watts saves 30 watts.  Over 6 hours that is 180 watt hours.  At slow speeds getting 60 watt hours per mile that is actually 3 miles!!  So instead of 200 miles range you would have 203 miles range!

However with the highway scenario of going 70 mph for 70 miles, or 1 hour of travel you would save 30 watt hours with an LED headlight.  At those speeds you are getting about 120 watt hours per mile.  30 watt hours would get you another 1/4 mile, or instead of 70 miles, you could go 70.25 miles.

Is that worth it?  I think so at this point.   Plus it is the coolness factor that is important.  A high end bike should have LED lights.  And for certain an electric motorcycle should.  But who knows if it will come for 2017 or not.  We have about 3 weeks to go to find out.  If it doesn't happen, remember you can always buy a $35 bulb from Amazon and replace it yourself of you want that extra quarter mile of range! :)

Anyone successfully chew the ear off some dealers who may/may not have gotten some '17 info yesterday? :)
