So the Energica Motor Company will be a public company soon and the below article shows some numbers on their production plans.
So if you have some money to invest and you like the business plan of Energica you can soon own their stock!

2015: 8 pre-production bikes sold
Today: second pre-production round
March 2016 start of regular production of EGO
May 2016 start of regular production of EVA
2016: 238 bikes planned
2017: 651 bikes planned
2021: 5000 bikes planned

Further points of interest:
They aim to be and remain an exclusive brand (analogy with Ferrari is made)
They target the markets with the best charging infrastructure, California is their main market
Proceeds of the IPO will be used to create the production facilities and continue R&D

I hope Energica gets a dealer on the east coast of the US. Would love to check one out but I am not going to travel across the country to do that. I think the Ego is really the only available electric sport bike you can buy. Not sure Lightening is really doing much of anything at this point. And there are a lot of features on the Ego that the LS-218 doesn't offer. I think the Eva will pull a small amount of business from Zero SR sales. A higher price point but also a lot of higher end features. And being able to have DCFC on board would be really sweet.

"East Coast" covers almost 2,000 miles you know.  There IS a dealer in New York State:

They are roughly fifty miles from where I live, and there is a charging station a couple of miles away in a waterfront park so I may take a ride up there when the weather warms up to check them out.  Of course, if they let me charge up at the dealership that'd be even better.  I'll ask before I head out.

Historically, not the best investment.  But sales do seem to have accelerated.

Answer's a little late there, ulrtranr...  sorry if my resurrecting the topic of Energica's growth threw you off.

Doesn't seem to be a good way to buy Energica stock with my IRA, having a hard time finding even an ETF with exposure.

????

According to  this map, there are MORE Energica dealers on the east coast than west.

I think with the most recent offering these bikes offer the biggest bang for the buck. And no this isn't just me. There's an ongoing spreadsheet with breakdowns of value for range, charging, price, etc.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yWRS4EHtyGPexF4lcX4nlG5bTlSQ7Oh7tBTWL5zlbPo/edit?fbclid=IwAR2XhJ48lUsN0LJ6gtQxmAXScwvMO-A0VWtUQrbJFRQNbU8LPJEc9VSb6wY#gid=0

It's rather eye-opening.

I question the accuracy of that spreadsheet.  For example, with both bikes having the 14.4 kWh battery, the SR will have more range than the SR/F.  Even Zero acknowledges this.  It's because of the bigger, heavier tires on the SR/F. The advantage to the SR/F is that (with the premium version) you CAN have 6kW charging AND a power tank.  The SR is an either/or proposition.

Yeah more than a few errors and omissions there man.  I know your 100% behind them but you whoever made the table has got to stay honest about the pros and cons.  You Whoever made the table can't group all three Energica models together and show the price being $21k.  The Ego+ is $24k before the likely wanted upgrades.

Don't Whoever made the table can't forget to show the AC only charge time for the Energicas either.  Should be about 7 hours at 3kW.

I didn't make the spreadsheet. Also, it's specifically about showcasing longer range trips. Ergo the fastest charging options and the largest batteries, different riding styles, and combinations thereof.

You could also argue that it's disingenuous to show the LiveWire at $29799 because that's only the price if it's in black. If you want orange or that greenish yellow it's another $400 or so.

But Jamie are you saying the SR/F's numbers should show reduced range? By how much?

Fair enough corrections made.

The SRF is wider, heavier, and has bigger tires and a higher likelihood of the throttle being used to enjoy that bigger motor so the SRF owners have reported about 10ish % less range than a SR.
