Hi,
I bought a 2014'DS 11.4 Police Bike last thursday.
400km done this week end.
I confirm the bad rear break and the bad rear suspension : they need to be adapted ...
Without these remarks, I paid it 9k€ (living in France), and it's really good to ride.
I had also a 990 SMR KTM, but 15L tank and 10L/100km are really not enought/too much to go at work (~60km/day).

Congratulations morpheus. You paid the same price as us. In glad you're enjoying it so far.

Do you get a subsidy in France?

Subsidy in France is only for car (actually), nothing for bike (except free registration card) :(

Hi Morpheus74,congratulations on your purchase, what sort of range are you getting ?
Did your police spec come with screen + hand guards ?
Is there anything you can do about the back brake ?
Be good to have your feedback :-)

On the topic of the subsidy,I mailed OLEV today,to see if we are any closer to them getting their act together, haven't heard back yet.
Could do with everyone  turning the screw on this !
Does anyone know what this email said that Jason from Streebike sent out, in respect of this,as I didn't get it myself

This is the last email I got from Jason:

"Hi Tom, the bikes were dispatched yesterday, heard nothing on the grant yet, but it’s coming"

That was a few days ago. If I get chance today I'll speak to Jason.

I was hoping the bikes would come with screens having seen them fitted to DSP bikes I've seen on YouTube. Let's hope they've got a box of them they're going to fit for us! Hand guards would be welcome too. Otherwise I'm going to have a very cold commute for the next few months!

I hope morpheus can let us know what range he's getting. It'll be good to compare to claimed specs and what we get. It might give us an indication of battery health too.

Hi,

It's complicated to told you the range because i have just 400km with it, and the first kilometers are used to test the bike :)
I am always using in custom mode with torque, speed and rear break (regen) at max.
In very violent run, 80km is the range.
In city, i think thant 160/180 km is really easy to join.
I have 30km to go at work, only 20% in city, 20% on highway, 60% on 90km/h road : on this track, the range is around 130km.

I had the bike with the protections around the bike but not screen and not hand guards...
I had to pay to have the rear support for topcase (165€).

The dealer has the topcase in stock, I think perhaps he had all with the bike, but want to sold me ... I will question him.
I had payed also the orignal tank, I'm waiting for it, around 200€, because here we have the police buttons.

this is some picts this morning.

Thanks Mostlybonkers and morpheus your posts were really helpfull.I was thinking the same about the screen and handguards,I had specifically asked Alex to take some photos of them coming out the crates,to see for myself, but he mailed back Monday just gone, and said it was his day off Friday when they arrived.Nobody else got any pics,I must say I'm a bit suspicious, never seen pics of DSP's without them.
That range sounds promising Morpheus,we'd get even better performance with screens/handguards...........thanks for the pictures of yours, looks a lovely commuter you got there

What do you reckon to those range figures Mostlybonkers ?
