The motor should last significantly longer than the other components on the bike.  Electric motors have one moving part, the axle.  That's it.  So they last forever.

Over 3 years it would not be possible to wear out the motor and it will be under warranty anyway.  The new Zero Motorcycle motors should have a very long lifetime.

For calculating costs figure out how much electricity you would use and tires and brakes based on how many miles you will go in 3 years.

Bahaha!  Burton is a special case. 

Yes, tires will be your main concern.  No oil changes, no clutch to break, etc.

That is actually still up in the air Harlan should be getting my motor Friday to inspect ... That said I doubt it is a problem with the motor itself but might be with the fact it has an open face. And that said previous motors all had open faces so ... who knows.

An ICE bike engine is considered to be worn after 100,000 kms (60,000 mls). It's already hard to sell a bike with 50,000 kms here in Holland. An ICE engine wears fast du to their high revs. A Zero engine revs max 6,000 rpm and that happens not that often, because thats'also the top speed.

So bad news for garages as the number of EVs are increasing and will increase significantly in the next years.

An ICE has several hundred moving parts and many of these parts are often rapidly moving back and forth in opposite directions.

A Motorcycle electric motor has one moving part and it spins in a circle.

Motor is last thing to worry
 I think the biggest concern is the torq that rips the tires or that you get "monday" bike and there is bms or some other issues with it.
