aftermarket Interest

Hey everyone!

after searching the threads and joining up i was surprised to see that there didn't seem to be very many options in the aftermarket to address some of the shortcomings of the zero lineup. I think there is tremendous opportunity to provide some add on's that could help owners keep up with and even outpace the features of the newer model year bikes.

Maybe it's simply that there isn't enough of a market for it yet or that there are too many changes per model year to make it cost effective but it seems like some motivated individuals could fairly easily fab up some add on's to help address some of the issues currently faced by owners of EV bikes.

Now I wish I could vote again, I chose the mileage because that was closest to fast charging.

Emergency belt repair kit (Harley bikes have it). Especially useful for the off road FX.

For the older bikes, a Current meter a battery voltage meter, a timing advance on the motor, decent and cheaper battery upgrades, tires that are good and that fit to the wheels..... Most of the issues Zero has already dealt with.

A chain? Who wants to have to do regular maintenance on their bike? It's a chore.

A chain also take away the stealth experience..

wow i didn't think fast charging would take so much precedence over extended mileage but i guess for those who've owned the bikes, if you can juice up quick enough then the mileage isn't as important...i'd think it would be rather difficult to find a greater than 120v charging at your destination though right now although i'm not sure how the current quick chargers work...do you just plug into multiple 120v outlets?

I also miss fast charging and up to now I would like to see a powerful onboard Charger for AC charging as DC charging is very rare here in Germany. ;-(
3 phase AC at 11kW or even 22 kW is quite common here via Type2 Socket.
Of course external DC fast charging makes sense especially for a motorcycle, like Energica does with CCS.
