Encouraging news from behind enemy lines.
« on: June 24, 2015, 04:50:16 PM »

While the OLEV story has been posted before, its not been getting a lot of press, however it still looks like, after a number of years of neglect, the electric motorcycle industry in the UK might finally be getting some attention. (My fear still is with the Tories getting in they'd find a way to axe the grant)

Interesting about the Zero Motorcycles bit near the bottom.

While the article does'nt mention this, its notable that Royal Enfield are also setting up what appears to be an electric motorbike R&D division in the UK (near Bruntingthorpe). So with a bit of luck we could see competition in the UK EV motorbike sector slowly hotting up.

I shudder to think what a Royal Enfield electric motorcycle might be like.  :o  If you think Zero owners have reliability issues, just check out the Royal Enfield community web site:  http://www.enfieldmotorcycles.com/forum/index.php?action=forum#2
