Piezoelectric concept tires

Hopefully they are planning the same thing for motorcycles tires :D

I don't know how much energy they can get from the tire, and never forget that nothing is created, the tire gets hot from running the car or bike and that car or bike is powered by the battery.

Thermocouple systems aren't new, even in automotive applications, but a tire application is new. Any amount of power generated would be quite small - likely a few watts at best. There are still some interesting applications - it would provide a maintenance charge for the 12V or HV traction battery, or power active electronics in the tire itself without having to supply power from the HV battery. Tire pressure sensors, the air pumps talked about in the other tire concept, LED side lighting, etc.
