Zero X Sport front end flex

Have spent a good amount of time on the street with the bike. No registration. Just wanted to show the flex of the front end. When you brake hard on the street your are forced to compensate a good amount under brake. you can also feel this on the street on hard turns. The force used in this video is not hard or insane. This is my 2nd fork, the first one had a leg blow out.

I know it is a pain that the original forks don't do the job for you but I wonder if there is a more suitable, stiffer aftermarket replacement.

Does the flex look to be in the shock legs themselves? Do you think beefier triple clamps would help?

Have you contacted Zero about it?

The flex comes from both the shock legs and also the axel rotates, I've been told the white brothers would help with this as it has pinch bolts on the axel. But being as Zero just added the "MX" and it does not use the white brothers Im going to guess the MX is much better. It looks to me as the same fork on S.

The "RST" shock the X sport comes with is a JOKE. I bet it cost all of $200 bucks retail for this shock. The axel on my first shock also failed. I did not find this out till I removed the front fork. I was told it was a known problem. To me it's a safety problem that should be corrected.

A number of things have put me off with Zero. I canceled my Zero S pre-order last week. I went and looked at the bike and saw a number of items I did not like. I was told it was just a prototype. I will wait and revisit the Zero S at a later date. The X and the S have no BMS at all. The charger spikes the hell of out the batts at times. I don't ever get a "green" light on my charger. I was told some do some dont, I dont buy that. I think I have 1-2 dead cells. Zero also has not done vibration testing of the pack yet. Every bolt on the bike is a different size. And chain rub is getting a little nutts on my bike. I will post pics of this soon.

I agree, that RST fork is definitely the weakest part of the bike.  Hopefully, the '09X is the last we'll see of it.

No idea on why they insist on the metric/standard mix for nuts/bolts.

The bike isn't perfect, but the '09 is better than the '08.  I'm pretty sure the '10 will be better than the '09 and so on.  They listen, they implement, they improve.  That's about all you can ask.
