2015 Zero Section
« on: December 13, 2014, 04:25:07 AM »

Hi all,

Would you prefer a new section for 2015 Zero models or some sort of combination like we did for 2013-2014?

I know that some like having all discussion in one spot. Others like it more granular. I'm open to feedback so let me know what you think...

2015 is a new model as in has new suspension and ABS, make a new section for it. Also zero has most interest and biggest user base.

Kinda figured same group until a big change is made

The 13 to 15 is a much smaller gap than 12 to 13

More so with the fx but they are similar in terms of almost everything besides wheels suspension brakes slightly differnt tuning diagnostic from what I've seen read heard

To me 2013 was a complete platform overhaul, from a drive train perspective to user interface (Bluetooth) including styling.
2015 is just an incremental improvement on still the same platform introduced in 2013.

I could go either way.  If I knew what the 2016 models and beyond would bring, I might have more of a conviction regarding this question.  In the long run, I think that the 2015 models should be under the 2013-2014 sub-forum for the reasons that Kingcharles mentions.  Or, perhaps the solution is to create a 2015 forum and nuke a few of the other brand sub-forums that are now dead.  That would clean up the site somewhat.  A 2015 forum would make life easier in the short run, but if we keep adding a new forum for each new year model of Zero, where does it stop?  Something to think about.   ???

The 2015 is great, but it's mostly cosmetics, apart from ABS. Plus having 1 forum means common problems stay in the same place, and there's just the one place to look.

I'd vote, same group...

Placing the 2015 bikes in the same section as the 2013s and 2014s seems like a logical way to organize things.

It does seem to me that 2013 was the "quantum leap" year for the Zeros, so it seems like a natural breaking point, unlike 2015. I think I'd just add 2015 to the 2013-2014 forum.
