I just traded my SV-650 on a 2015 SR... except the SR's still a pile of parts in Santa Cruz. Hopefully, they'll feed the Factory Gnomes some pizza and coffee and I'll have my new bike soon!
Anyway, I used to commute quite a distance, but for the past couple years I've worked from home, and the SV was NOT liking the 3-5 miles a day. ABS was the killer feature I wanted, as I ride every day, rain or shine, and the ABS on my SV & FJR has already saved my bacon several times.
Actually, that's all fluff and excuses. The honest truth is I test-rode the "S" AND IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE BLAST and I loved it. The moment I saw the 2015 had ABS, I was doing the Snoopy Dance.
I did try the Brammo before the Zero, but I did not care for the transmission... and the seat was *horribly* uncomfortable. Plus the nearest dealer is 185 miles away (and really kinda snooty and uppity)
Thanks to Orlando Yamaha/Kawasaki for not having any hesitation in taking my dough, and being cool enough to do test rides at the drop of a hat!
