Why ride when you can fly.
« on: October 21, 2014, 04:57:13 PM »

This is what the PAL-V ONE is all about: it combines within one vehicle the freedom and excitement of flying like a bird in the sky with the choice of driving with breathtaking performance on the roads and highways.

That's neither electric or a motorcycle and there are enough people who aren't proficient enough to drive a car don't encourage putting them in the air. As it is there are a number of people flying that shouldn't be.

I like it too and even if you are right - not everybody should fly/drive - I hope our forum is tolerant enough to see and like such an awesome  gyrocopter/car blend  8)

Oh don't misunderstand I love the machine but was disappointed that it wasn't electric and I do feel strongly that flying cars are a dangerous concept for the masses.

I like the stream lining of the body, zero need to think more about reducing drag.

Well, Im sure if that were to actually be purchaseable, you would need a pilot's license of some sort. They won't just let anyone with a driver's license into the air.

It does look pretty awesome though. Would be cool to be able to fly to your destination, instead of sitting in traffic. Of course you wouldn't be allowed to touch down anywhere but actual runways I would imagine.

They have licensing requirements on their site. FAA Sport Pilot's License only in the US. Those are kind of frighteningly easy to come by.

40hrs and roughly $4000 for a pilots license as it is but its highly regulated as it should be. If youd like to fly that's the way to go but if it was accessible as cars id find it concerning.
