EV articles in Motorcyclist magazine
« on: June 20, 2014, 09:13:28 PM »

The August issue of Motorcyclist magazine contains a couple of articles about electric motorcycles.  On page 16 is a story titled "Smoother Than I.C.E." that describes the advantages of an electric motorcycle's motor torque spread when racing and also describes a new technological controller advancement by BRD that mimics the torque production of a geared ICE motorcycle over its rev range.

In the same issue of Motorcyclist, on page 20, is an article about the "One-Wheeled Wonder", the Ryno Monocycle (sounds kind of familiar to me), followed by a sidebar describing the McLean Monocycle, the BPG Uno, the Honda U3X and the Yike Bike.

Here is a link to an article describing BRD's new motor controller idea:  http://www.faster-faster.com/news/the-truth-about-electric-motors/

I will admit that I don't quite get the concept.   ???
