Zero x 2011 stops after 5 min
« on: March 20, 2014, 04:16:53 PM »

I have a problem with my Zero X 2011. It stops after 5 minutes. No error codes. When I plug off the  battery for 1 day it runs again 5 minutes (sometimes). After you plug of the wires of the motor and put 12V directly on the motor it turns oke. It has 7500km.

Nico, I don't know much about these bikes, but as no-one else has chimed in -

When you connect the battery to power, are there any error codes showing on the battery charge information (rather than the instrument panel itself)? Maybe there's a problem with the battery?

Hi Nico
Is this bike new to you?  That is, is this behavior a sudden change?
Also, when the bike is running for 5 minutes, does it seem to have full-charge power?

I purchased it from a local dealer, I did a litle testrun (200 meters) at home and heard some noise and was not running fery nice. I have checked the brushes cleaned them and after that it stals after 5 minutes. But now after some runs it goes better, Last 2 rides no stops any more. I think the had to run in.
You can time the angi motor, what is the best setting for a zero? Do you have to advance it or not. I advanced it 2mm.
