Congrats, I hit 6000 this week. I see you are just like me and never think to reset the trip.

I hit 5000 miles this week, after almost 9 months of ownership.

I also very rarely reset the trip meter, unless I'm intending a full speed highway run that will push the range envelope.

I am at 5400 miles after 17months of ownership = 317 miles per month
This is a daily commuter bike. So I use it 5days a week, and regular ICE bikes on the week-end rides.

Can we transform this thread into: How many miles in how many month = miles per month people of this forum are doing?

I am averaging about 360 miles a month on my Zero S.  And I am also riding my IC motorcycles over 1100 miles a month (together) on a yearly average.

I'm averaging 600 miles per month but that is probably equivalent to 1200 on the continent. Island riding is very tough on an ICE bike because the journeys are short and we have a very dense, narrow and busy road network which means lots of hard acceleration and braking. I did well to get 10K Miles out of a chain and sprockets despite rigorous maintenance. I did oil changes every 1500 and oil + filters every 3000 and had to flush out the white emulsification from the cases and hoses. It's normal for condensation to form inside the cases but because of the short trips the engine never got hot enough for long enough to burn it off.

The freedom from maintenance on the Zero is a joy and I can just go for a ride whenever I want without a warming the bike up and worrying about service intervals. When I see commuters on ICE bikes now I genuinely pity them because riding one is so comparatively miserable next to an EVMC.

He was going 47mph slower than Terry Hershner when he posts his mileage milestones...

500 miles/month year-round  (200 miles/month Dec-Jan-Feb,  and 600 miles/month for the rest of the year).   I'm at 9700 miles right now, looking forward to the big milestone!

I hit 10,000 miles earlier this month! The bike is still working perfectly, although I can tell the stock DS tires don't have long before I should replace them, hopefully with a more street/rain-oriented set of tires.

I ride about 600 miles per month and have had the bike for 18 months now. I'll probably get into modding once the warrantee expires (software first, then probably lighting and brake upgrades).

Wow, I'm almost to 10,000 too. Should see it next month some time. My problem is I have 2 other bikes I ride a lot too...an FZ07 that I bought the end of June and have 1300 miles on and a CB300F that I bought 3 weeks ago and have put 1000 miles on.

The only issue I have is on occasion during spirited rides in warmer weather, I have plugged in, but I get a flashing red light. It's happened maybe 6 times altogether. When that happens, I unplug it, boot the bike up, turn it right back off, then put a fan on the battery for an hour. I suppose this could be an issue if I needed to ride to work, then plug in right away, but I only charge at home where I have time to cool the battery down. I think the battery must get too hot to charge right after the ride. Anyway, since the recall for the firmware, my bike has performed very well other than this minor glitch.
