Calling Seattle area Zero owners!
« on: July 23, 2013, 04:36:09 PM »

Plug In America will be making a showing at the Renton River Days from 11-3 on Sunday July 28 at the Renton Community Center. I had contacted PIA to ask about participating in their EV display, and Chad Schwitters, the VP for Plug In America responded with enthusiasm. So if you can make it, please swing by! Better yet, I'm sure they'd love to have you this weekend (and on National Plug In Day), so please contact them through their website. I know that having more than one Zero would make a more impressive display too.

I've asked Chad if he could be e-mailed directly. If I get a response, I will post his e-mail address. Erin Tator, their Director of Operations, said they'll likely take people right up to the day.

I hope to see you there!

Cheers!

Here is the e-mail for Chad Schwitters:
events@seva101.org

He said it is pretty low key if last year was any indication. Most folks passing by did not expect to see EVs, and those who are really interested are few and far between. Even so, I think raising awareness to a few at a time is a worthy cause.

The fair starts much earlier, but he recommends arriving about ten minutes before 11.

Cheers!

For what it's worth, I chatted with the Seattle EV group at the Greenwood auto show a few weeks ago, and they were quite welcoming.
