Hello / TTXGP
« on: March 12, 2009, 09:13:43 PM »

Hello I'm RennSau from London.
This June the first serious Electric Motorcycle Race the TTXGP.COM will be held on the Isle of Man. One Lap, around the street circuit of the island, the oldest continually held Motor Race on the Globe.
Ever since I found out about it in November and I have been tremendously excited by this (long over due) step forward in fast transportation. Before X-Mas the UK TV motor show " Top Gear" tested a pair of Tesla Electric Sports Cars and the results were absolutely astonishing, the Tesla beat the PORSCHE GT3!!!!! Absolutely out of this world!!
So I'm looking forward to have all the participating teams named shortly after 31st of March, the dead line for race enrollment. All the teams so far are very secretive about their technology and I haven't seen a picture of true TTXGP racer yet, which will be easily identifiable because of the fairing, which must be 20% more surface area behind the driver as in front. This tech spec will lead to a "streamline" typ http://www.craigvetter.com/pages/470MPG/TTXGP%20Fairing.html  fairing and thus will give the TTXGP Racer a unique appearance among all the other current racing machines.
If any one would like to sponsor a team please contact me and I will be happy to find you opportunities, even this late in the game.

Hi RennSau,

Welcome to the forum!  I hope you don't mind me splitting this post off from the Welcome topic, it deserves it's own topic.

I am really excited about the TTXGP too.  I think the entrant list will have some surprises in it.  If it is over 20 entrants anyone who is not in the race is really missing out on some great visibility to their products.

Do you work with TTXGP?

hhmmmm, hadnt heard about the fairing rules, personally i hope not all the bikes turn out like the ones in your link. Seems a little too enclosed, not a lot of space to move around in corners, and from the looks of things it may provide a fair bit of downforce, which would inhibit cornering speed. Though im still very keen to see results from any and all entries,  hopefully there race will generate some electric bike technology improvements

Sounds like that shape will extend the battery life quite a bit.  Might be hard to get used to the look of the bikes though.
