I second that!

Is the performance improvement over stock significant?  Are we talking about 2-3% or more like 10%?

Depends on the year and model. What ones are you talking about?

I have a 2012 S ZF9 and my dealer races a 2013 S ZF8.5 and a 2012 X who I'm sure will also be interested.

I'd also be interested in the performance improvements for the 2012 ZF9-S as well.

For the 2013, yes the performance enhancement is significant, as it is for the 2011.

When I release the 2012 S/DS Performance enhancement it will also be significant. Basically it will be close to my world record setting which I did on a stock ZF6 S. I will be tuning it down a bit to keep your bike in reasonable safety Zones.

Since everyone seemed so interested we decided to skip the kickstarter month and go right to production with the parts we are ready on and raise the funds that way. So for the 2012 we have both the basic Bluetooth and the basic USB cable right now. The profile/mode dongles will be available for the 2012s in a few weeks.

2011 and 2013 models though can get the profile/mode dongles right now along with the blue tooth basic and USB basic OBDII cables.

Hollywood electrics also has a Size 6 controller kit you can install which will drastically improve your 2012, and is not too hard to install. I'll talk to Harlan once he is back about possibly including one of our cables in the size 6 kit, maybe he will be interested in it? But as I said, even without the size 6, we will be releasing profiles that have noticeable power differences.

Is there any difference in the profiles for size4 or size6 controllers?  I already have a size 6 controller, can I use a 2012 dongle without any adjustments?

The issue you brought up is why we have not yet released for the 2012, and have not released the smart cable. We want to make sure that an end user needs to do as little as possible to make his or her dongle or cable work.

I think I will wait for the smart cable with presets.

Im surprised you haven't done a dongle for the FX.  Given that the controller is the same as an S but it makes a lot less power then I imagine the FX has the most to gain from 'derestricting'.  I know cooling is more of an issue with the smaller motor but it just means being a bit sensible.

The reason we don't have those dongles out yet is because of the position of the OBDII ports. FX, XU and MX all have ports that would be in the way if the dongle was left in. While you can just plug it in and flash the MBB then remove it, I am a fan of leaving the dongle in in case any kind of fault re flashes the bike back to factory settings, the dongle can then resend the specified profile.

Brandon,
I have a 2012 XU that I picked up because I couldn't resist the price. I know that as the "runt" of the litter, that there won't be much to work with, but, any idea as to what one might expect in improvement?
On one end, more range might be nice. With the sacrifice of performance of course. On the other end, Any performance enhancements at the cost of range? Starting with about 12 hp, not expecting much, but,
every little bit would help. Also, with everyone upgrading to the 6 controllers, how feasible would it be to put a 4 controller on the XU?
Thanks
Ed

Is this available? I couldn't find any links but if the pricing is what the thread says I would love to get my hands on one for a 2012 DS... my DS has just started the roughness issue and it has had two recalls for firmware, for me would be good to check it and reset myself and save a dealer trip.

Hi guys, we have secured an official dealer and will be working with them to get you the final products in the future.

KrazyEd The 2012 XU can get more range, but not with a size 6 controller. If you add one of those in the XU, you will have a wheelie machine that you never want to save juice on.  ;)

I had actually inquired about the size 4 controller for the XU. I figured that the size 6 would be too much temptation to avoid inevitable self destruction.
I inquired about any size 4s laying around from size 6 upgrades to OTHER models.
Thanks for the reply though.
Are the dongles available yet?
Thanks
