2018 Zero FX front brake pads
« on: September 24, 2024, 12:21:13 PM »

Can you guys please provide which pads and where to buy some replacement front brake pads? I tried the search but didn't yield the specific pads for a 2018 Zero FX with the J. Juan calipers, don't want to purchase the wrong ones. I'm sure it's been asked a bunch and apologies for the inconvenience.

The information that I have from a chart in my files for the 2017 FX front brake pads are: EBC FA181, Galfer 138 or SBS 671 and 741. To my knowledge the 2017 and 2018 models used the same chassis components.

I too think the EBC FA181 brake pad works. I have a 2020 FX. Knowing the torque settings for the bolts after downloading the "light" service manual from ZERO, I took off the stock brake pads and traced them out on a paper grid to get the outline of the pads. Then I went on EBCs website and checked the shape and measurements of the their FA181 pad. It matched. I went with the softer pad material. It wears out quicker but it is easier on the brake rotors. I.E. EBC X-Series Carbon Brake Pads - FA181X

Hope that helps
