Is The Energica Your Favorite Bike?
« on: July 30, 2024, 06:34:25 PM »

Yes!

Not the only bike I own, and certainly not the bike for every situation, but in terms of what bike is THE most fun to ride...  Energica Rebelle RS!

I rotate riding the various bikes I own, and every time I get back to the Energica,  I am blown away by the riding experience.

When they figure out new battery tech for lower weight and greater energy storage capacity, man o man will it be nirvana.

My track bike this year is  Z400 with some modifications.  Great fun on the track.

My track does not allow electric bikes, and even if it did, I would be too scared to crash the thing to ride it the way I would like to on track.

400CC bike, and some schooling at a track riding school, is all you need to develop skills on track.

I Noticed your bar graph ( motor current indicator) doesn't work either, only the anti blocking LEDs show up.

It works, just not captured in the video.

What motivated that decision?

Take it on the track pard,  even if just for one day, you'll love it !!   Don't be afraid, give it a romp.  You should be able to honestly get a good entire morning out of one good charge.  Better yet, get your ass down here and we'll both do a track day so I can show you how to ride the thing :D  I got your charging covered here  8)

Can you load an Energica on the back of a cybertruck?

Im debating t he cybertruck.   But I already got my trailer mostly built out so don't really need it.  But that'd be interesting, charge the bike off the truck.  Ill stick with my silverado, it's dependable and paid for.

It works, just not captured in the video.

What do mean not captured> It's either working or it's not correct?

The motor current indicator does illuminate, but only when I am aggressive with the throttle Rate or Degree of application.

If I roll on smoothly, it does not illuminate until I get somewhere above 50% throttle (guessing) or if I roll on abruptly, which is not occurring in the video.

I have seen it come on, but infrequently, the way I ride.

You can also just disable the LEDs in the menu options.

And, for my part, my 2018 SS9 is still my favorite bike. Over 43,000 miles and it's dependable as ever.
