What if they indented it? could that actually IMPROVE aerodynamics, by capturing the turbulence?
All seriousness though, yes it can look neater, and if you are charging in the sun, not having that clear plastic to let the IR thru to get captured, actually helps to keep it a bit cooler under there as well. It amazes me how fkn hot that thing can get during a charge cycle. Burn your hand hot sometimes, that can't be good for the components I can't see.
