Just building new chargers is not a solution without a strong maintenance incentive. All those shiny new Electrify America chargers seemed like a great solution a few years ago until they started falling apart.
When I first heard about the new contract between Wal*Mart & EA, I assumed it meant chargers at every WM location.
But they did the same nonsense as everybody else. Put them everywhere except for where needed the most.
For example, Susanville, CA has a Walmart. No CCS there or anywhere near there.
They do have 250 KW V3 chargers near there at the casino. But of course, no Magic Dock so most EVs cannot use them.
And NV has a big shortage of WORKING CCS outside of the larger cities. Broken ones all over, that worked well five years ago that do not work at all today. I could ride to more places five years ago on my small battery SS9 than I can today on my larger battery Experia.
So of course, not even one Magic Dock in the entire state of Nevada.
BTW, OTOH, there is one nice needed location that I know of with Magic Dock
. Jackson, CA. I used it on my Enegica Experia last week. Charged up at 20 KW.
