Im looking thru the data from the suit, man this is going to be a pretty nasty learning curve.  This program is just stupid powerful to analyze it, I barely scratched the surface of it.
Here's one small example, I have most the other channels turned off except lean angle and speed

Just for giggles and shits, I looked at my regular street riding leather jacket and it has the same type data in it as well as the racing suit.
I think it might be lacking some logging functions but I am seeing a lot of common to track suit stuff.  I am downloading it now to see what all is there and if it can be analyzed like the track suit data can.

One thing I noticed is that it WILL give you live readings on your suit being plugged into the computer.  I do NOT want to find out the hard way but hopefully the protection is not live in this mode!!  Id hate to see the suit pop because I was downloading my last trip to the liquor store :D

Very cool technology.  There are some good apps for the phone that also provide some helpful data.

I even use it on track.

Thanks pard, I have that Dragy timer thing and am going to get an official chromo that they do use for racing which gives all kinds of data too on speed etc.

The phone thing, I was thinking of that, my dragy goes thru the phone but how to mount it on the bike.  the X mount just will NOT cut it i dont think so ill have to either get a tank mounted bag or somehow figure how to carry my phone with me, my leathers have zero pockets so that idea is out and the boots are too tight to shove down the side.

I am using the Quadlock system. There are phone model specific cases with a connector and they have several mounts that can be fixed to the stem, the bar, the mirror etc.
I use the bar mount and it worked well when I was on the racetrack once.

Good choice.  I currently use the ram mount system, works, but it is not the best.  I will be switching to qudlock as well.  They also have a cool vibration isolation option that will save your phone from damage.

The ram mount, I have that now on my Ribelle, but a nice pothole or sharp bump will jar the phone loose, it's happened to me twice now.  First time fortunately was right before a set of train tracks, and train was there so when I noticed it missing, i was able to circle back and use my Cardo to relocate where it fell off.  Second time, it was on a shitty stretch of road, I hit some flat potholes and it jarred out of its holder again, but thankfully I seen it and it was on my tank and I was able to grab it and pull over and re mount it before it hit the pavement.

Even with those though, they want an actual tether, something hard mounted/tied on/bolted on.  If you come off the bike don't need the phone flying somewhere and then trying to find it, or it gets ran over or causes other issues when it smacks someone during it's short but fast flight.

I use the rubber tether all the time with the x mount.  That keeps it very secure even at triple digit speeds.  The issue is vibration.  Ram does little to help that and it will kill the phone after a few months.

Quad lock is a better solution IMO.

I already have the X grip.  How does the tether work, does it wrap around the outside of the phone and thru the fingers on the X?

I like the quadlock system better from what I am seeing, and will probably end up getting one of those.
I have a samsung note 23 which can record, but getting the thing to focus far and quit changing focus when shooting thru the windshield is proving to be a bit of a problem.  Even when I fix the focal point it wants to readjust when the scene changes.

The rubber tether holds the edges of the phone and pulls it against the x mount.  Secure, but the vibration issue still persists.

I plan to move to the quadlock system on my bikes.  Better design.

They also have a wireless charging system available so you can have vibration attenuation, wireless charging, and secure worry free mounting all in one.

Have the Quadlock "wireless charging" setup on my Experia...and all my other bikes too...it's nothing but brilliant IMHO.

Totally agree, I got the wireless charging head for Christmas and it's really nice!

Whether you really need that anti-vibration setup, I do not know. I used the Quadlock without it for my iphone 8 for about 25,000 km and the reason why I needed a new phone was because I dropped it (broken screen glass), not because of the bike's vibrations  ::)

I wonder if an E bike has the same vibrations to be honest.
An ICE is percussing at 10 to 12k rpm, essentially every spark plug firing.  That's a HF noise really, and the banging of the ignition.
An E bike yah the motor may spin that speed but it's not causing a physical 'thump' every time a pole swings by or something of that nature like a cylinder head full of gas is.
I don't think E bikes have that same hi freq issue that ice bikes do.

I suspect the cell phone worries are overblown. Not saying it’s completely made up, but I bet most people’s phones still work just fine. My iPhone 12 Mini hasn’t had any camera focus problems in the 1 1/2 years I’ve had the FJR and the wireless RAM mount.
