My name is Brandon Glanville and I am the independent rep and service rep for Zero Motorcycles in Idaho. I have been watching this site for quite a while now and felt this would be a good time to introduce myself. I have been in the motorcycle industry for over 10 years now in various capacities and as the parts manager at the local shop for the past 5. One thing that I noticed about the Zero product line right away was a general lack of any shared standard parts from the motorcycle industry. Understandable in many cases as weight is certainly a big issue as are scales of economy. The cost for components like Showa suspension, Brembo brakes, and Excel wheel sets are a lot different for Suzuki buying tens of thousands at a time vs. Zero's couple of hundred. I think they have put together a very cohesive package given the realities they face.
My solution was to build a website providing Zero riders a source for parts and accessories. Keep in mind that I am a working guy and I have put this together with what cash i had stashed away (a little left over from motocross season last year). So I don't have a huge line up, but I am adding to it all the time. My first accessory that is in production is a bracket that allows you to mount a high performance foot peg to the Zero X and Zero MX. I have a custom foot peg kit from the guys at Fastway as well. It allows the peg to be mounted in the stock position or in a 'Low Boy' position. The low boy is sweet because it drops the overall mass of the rider and helps plant the bike. I should be getting the DS in a couple of weeks so I can start working on some ideas for the S/DS soon. I have also added as many of the consumable parts as I can afford at this time. Zero and I are working on an agreement to provide some of those parts.
As I mentioned, I am a working stiff so I can't take calls while at work all day so I have purposely left my phone number off the site... but please feel free to email me with any questions, comments, and ideas. I'm very interested in what you have to say. You can reach me at brandon@justzeros.com or the contact page on the Just Zeros site. I'm very excited about the future of Zero and hope I can help you guys get more out of your bikes.
