total BULLSHIT.
They are using ELECTRICITY to break the water down into Hydrogen to burn in the engine essentially.
NOT EFFICIENT AT ALL compared to using the electricity in a motor to push it.  DIRTY too, pure water will NOT conduct, so won't break down without huge, like 1300 F temps to spontaneously dissociate the molecules under the right conditions.  again NOT EFFICIENT!!
To fix this, they put an electrolyte into the water so it conducts.  Typically a salt.  Ok now you got salt water you are dissociating, well guess what, the salt breaks down too,  So you get free chlorine, I want to say with your oxygen, and other chlorides, and hydroxides potentially as well.  CORROSIVE!!  POISONOUS !!

Even if they actually just put hydrogen in a storage tank and pumped it straight in (instead of petrol, wow sounds familiar), the energy to separate out and purify the hydrogen is more than they are getting out of it.  JUST BURN THE FUEL you used to convert / clean the H2 and be more efficient.

BUT, I hear if you buy one now, they'll throw in a free perpetual motion machine at NO CHARGE!!!  You can use the kinetic energy off of that to run a small generator to power your bike when backing up!

Here is what Yamaha is working on.

Nope, they're not working on it and it's not a thing. That's an artist rendition of an imaginary dream bike for marketing purposes, i.e. drumming up attention for the XT 500. Water has no chemical potential energy and cannot be used as a fuel. Fraudsters have been perpetuating that idea ever since I was a kid reading Popular Mechanics.

That is definitely a scam trolling for dollars. Or at least click-bait trying to get people to buy their other products that they are offering for sale on their site.

I am undecided. The only thing I know for sure is that it cannot be pure water. There has to be more involved than just pure water.

Reminds me of a slogan I heard some years ago when the hydrogen fuel cell was all the rage.
A company then came up with something like

Our car runs on deoxidised water!

You can go ahead and decide. It's a scam, because they're the laws of thermodynamics, not the polite suggestions of thermodynamics, and certainly not the corporate-mandated limits of thermodynamics

But hey, if I keep on the fence I can get more attention that way right?

It's amazing when you see people, who really should know better, fall hook line sinker and pole, for the perpetual motion crap or, runs on thin air / runs on water BS that keeps regurgitating itself every few years.
