that sounds like a good plan, but at what speeds are you running?   I honestly have to say I never ran my Ribelle yet full distance on the highway for a long range MPK on it.  Ive done 20 to 30 mile stretches and probably could extrapolate  something from that but it's always better to actually DO the miles and know for a Fact, yah I can do that.

But I totally agree, after 100 miles, or even Km, yah you are ready for a bit of a stretch!  Especially on a naked bike, that wind can beat you around a bit.

I'm stuck at ~65mph the whole time but there's a lot of elevation here, so I'd still say 100 miles is a realistic gauge for stops.  You could look for stations 80 miles away and see how much you have left, as a safe starting point.

Well hell, 100 miles at 65mph ain't bad at all!  80 would be a logical point, that way you got 20 in either direction to slink to if you needed.

Too bad the energica don't have like say a 1.5 kw inverter or something with an AC plug so you could bring a little fry pan and cook yourself up a sammich while you are waiting on the charge!  :D

How cool would that be, plug your bike in, and plug a little griddle in and make yourself a ham and cheese sammich while it's charging up, or a fried Balogna.  (ok fine, the redneck in me is showing :P )

I generally plan around 70 miles legs bookended by 90 mile legs but there are some assumptions backed into that. I limit my cruise speed to 60 (66 indicated) and generally assume that there will be cars or trucks I'm sitting behind for a bit, villages to slow down for, and turns that keep be below my cruising speed.

I usually avoid motorways and other roads that give high constant speeds (tbh they're boring anyway). If I tuck and CC to 55 (61 indicated) on such roads I know I can generally come in at about the same range but that's a super lame way to travel and still subject to conditions, the real win is to find a truck going your way at a speed you like and just sit behind it on CC but your battery isn't going to cool too well doing that.

On the plus side I've found luggage doesn't really matter enough to worry about.
