Agreed on the cruise control, really bad placement there. As for TPM, yah, I mean even if they offered 'advanced monitoring' as an add on or extra you could put on the bike, it would have been nice.
how cool would a screen be, a quick screen you could flick thru, that had LARGE NUMBERS so you can read them at fucking highway speeds w/o having to squint and squinch and really break your concentration on the road.
Tire Pressure, 38 / 37
Tire Temp: 115 / 119
Battery Voltage 308
Battery Temp 102
Maybe one or two other things, who knows, but basic NEEDED knowledge BIG readable and right there. You could have a user input section where you as the user can adjust alarm setpoints, kind of like you can adjust other things from the current user menu. Set the tire pressure alarm to say 30 PSI. If you are riding and a tire drops, your existing screen, lets halo it out in yellow or put up an icon on the bottom of the speed reading that there is a warning, to go LOOK at what's going wrong!
Get your attention to go see what's bad.
This could Also be very useful for the 1001 other general faults that can pop up too. You get a yellow triangle, or other warning, instead of having to sift thru 20 pages of menu as we currently do, squinting to find out WTF. When a major alarm like that pops, you flick over to this screen, there it is BIG LETTERS across the bottom.
Turn Signal Error Code. 020A.
Ok fine, I just now seen at highway speeds, I have a turn signal fault. I didn't have to really take my eyes off the road, fiddle fuck with 3 different buttons to try to get to the right screen to find a menu item, pull down on it, etc etc, and yet somehow still try to pay attention to traffic around me.
Yes, we'd love to see this very much.
