I wonder how they will compare to the unofficial Zero Manual.

Based on what I've seen so far, a bit lacking. They are far from what most people would consider "service" manuals. To put it into perspective, the service manual for the SRS is less than 300 pages, where the pages contain lots of pretty pictures, but a little light on technical details. Compare that to the service manual of a Yamaha Tracer which is nearly 700 pages and absolutely chock full of torque specs, and procedures. Granted, an ICE bike has a lot more serviceable components, but when a good portion of the service manual refers to using the ZDU tool which we don't currently have access to, the utility of it is questionable.

I'm still very thankful for Zero offering these, and it's definitely a move in the right direction. I just hope that they see what trust in their community will do for them, and that they open up further to allow those of us hundreds of miles from a dealer to support our own bikes.

Thanks.  Two issues:
The manuals aren't downloadable... so if that site ever goes offline, you're screwed.  Also, I have a 2021 SR, but they only go up to the 2020 model year.  I HOPE there aren't any real differences...

The only change since 2017 (when they switched to the wider 17mm belt) for the gen 2 bikes is the move to the TFT dash, I don't remember what year that happened. I'm not even sure if the gen 2 SR had that at all, it started off with the FXE, then the FX, the DS/R, but by the time it came to the SR that may have been when the gen 3 came out (2022). I don't think battery capacity changed at all in that time but even if it did physically they're be the same. The onboard charger has changed over the years but I can't find out the dates because that info has disappeared from the unofficial manual, however I'm pretty sure at least 2019 onwards would be the same.

As for saving, I did a right click save as and Chrome gave me the option of "webpage - complete", that gave me a ~3.5MB file so I'm assuming that's all the actual data and not just a link to the webpage. I haven't tried disconnecting my internet and seeing if I can still access it.

I'll have to try that.  My regular browser is Firefox, but I do have Chrome installed too.  There are some sites that are (stupidly) designed to work with Chrome and apparently ONLY Chrome and its derivatives.  I thought that nonsense went away with Internet Explorer but apparently not.

Jaime, there are plenty of ways to get that manual downloaded.  Most browsers have something built into them, and there are free-ish websites that can scrape it for you and download it.  Worse case, if YOU opened it up on your computer it's probably cached in it's entirety somewhere on your computer, where your browser saves it's files for display etc, so you already have a copy, just need to move it and rename it.

I do have a question though.  Are there any special tools that are needed?  Example, you need the Zero interface HAL9000 to do this and that, but those can only be gotten from the manu, who only gives them to certified dealers etc?  So even though they gave you the manual, if you don't have this doomaflache or whirlygitzer part, the manual is not much help.

Under general information > general specifications there's a tools and equipment section, the only special tool in that list is the controller discharge tool.

I saved the manuals on this computer this way:

1. Load up the wanted manual in your internet browser.

2. Select print (but do not print).

3.Change type of printer to "save as PDF".

4. Now print as "Save it to PDF"  and now you have the manual saved on your computer as a PDF file.

Word of caution on these manuals.  I downloaded the manual from Zero for my new 2023 DSR.  Searched for seat removal, found that their manual showed using your key to unlock the seat.  Problem is the 2023 DSR doesn't have a key lock for the seat.  Emailed Zero about this and they replied that the manual is for other versions and if I had only looked at changing fuses I would have seen how to remove my seat.............I have thoughts on this, do you?  Emblematic of Zero's customer care and skill at conducting themselves.  I smell bankruptcy in their future should they not get their stuff together and fast.  17K for a machine with BS manufacturer supplied manuals?
