Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere already, but I just got my Zero SR/F 2020 Premium back from service, after 6 months they finally changed the battery. Hopefully that takes care of the range issues I was having...

As I paired my Zero Next Gen app (Android) with my bike to ensure it has the latest firmwares (it has), I found there is now a couple of new choices. Log In (at least I think it is new?) and Cypher Store.

Selecting "Cypher Store", gives me the error popup:

"Map engine initialization. Error: UNKNOWN. Unknown error occurred during engine init".

This error message appears wether I am connected via bluetooth or not.

Selecting "Log In" gives me:

"Map engine initialization. Error: USAGE_EXPIRED. Evaluation version is over".

I never initiated any trial of anything, although I have no idea what the service guys might have done to the bike during the 6 months it was there

I would be interested in unlocking parking assistance (greyed out in my dash's menu now) and extended range. But seems no way? Is this feature disabled on my 2020 Premium version, or is something broken? Any workaround?

So, after digging a bit I found this Reddit thread:

Looks like this is related to Zero's cloud service not working after they released an update to their app.

Not entirely sure, but the problem might be that the new app was launched in some markets but not all, while the cloud service is global and wont work with the old app. So, I might have the old app trying to talk to a new Cloud API, and thus failing?

Perhaps a workaround is to VPN to USA, and change the Play store location, then perhaps the new compatible app can be installed - or it would just have you tumble down another rabbit hole of issues.  :P

Apparently Zero is aware of the problem and are working on it. The problem was reported ten days ago though, and it is still here. Knowing they initially announced the Cypher Store would be available "soon" for over a year, I would not hold my breath.

Thank you. I posted a message on that last week, seems that I not alone.
Here what I read

The Zero cloud servers and the phone app are having a problem right now that started out of the blue on or near Friday 4/28. This is causing the "Evaluation version is over" error any time you try and access the Cypher store and it's causing registration issues as well. This applies to anyone using the Next Gen app afaik, it's not specific to your or your issue, just a bad coincidence. Zero said they are pushing a new Next Gen phone app update as a hot fix to resolve this. I had heard it was supposed to be released on Friday but I still don't see an update available here on the Google Play store in the USA at least. It's possible it's held up in extended app store review/testing as is unfortunately often the case with app updates, particularly those that change certs or trust relationships etc.

I noticed that my Remote Location feature on the app doesn't work now either... So I can't monitor my charging through the 3G connection while I'm away from my bike.

Yes, I could finally log in now, however, I was still unable to buy any upgrades.

I have the 2020 SR/F but it was deemed incompatible for all the upgrades, including the parking mode, which lists the 2020 SR/F as compatible.. Hmm...

Also, the remote connect feature still isn't back, so you can't view the charging state of your bike via the 3G connection anymore.

My remote connect works absolutely fine. Did so on the previous version as well. 22 SRS.

So, finally, it seems to be working now. I can add the upgrades. Parking mode and 10% faster charging. Phew...
