What is your go to method for TPMS and GPS? I want these as well. I already have a bullet brake on the ready.
I am hoping I can add my Garman LM395LM. It has the TPMS built-in and I have the two TPMS sensors. The Garmin has one of the best TPMS I have seen.

However, if the Experia uses the same type of valve stem as my Esse Esse 9-, I will not be able to add these sensors, because they will hit the calibers. I will then have to use a separate TPMS with the very small sensors. I forgot to look at the valve stems when the bike was in the shop.

The USB ports that have the 5VDC USB output are always fed with 12 volts, but I will probably make my own USB GPS cable if the stupid (I repeat, it's stupid) USB port if it can handle the current. Probably not. So I will remove the USB port and install a 12-volt socket and then I can use both, 12V and USB by plugging in an adapter that costs $1.25 at a Dollar Store.

Having USB on a motorcycle is useless compared to a 12V socket. The 12V has a higher currant capacity and can always plug in a USB adapter if needed.

Hmm, that sounds a bit hacky, is there really no way to power the GPS from USB? it doesn't use that much power, right?

Most GPS units come with a 12V cable as does the Garmin 395LM. However, they really run from five volts anyway, the cable itself has a small DC2DCC to go from 12V to 5VDC. However, they draw more than a half amp. Some USBs are only a half amp, some are a couple of amps. I have no idea what the Experia uses. But I am about to find out. But the 12V feeding the USB outlet probably can handle ten amps. That's why I say it is so stupid for the bike to come with a USB port instead of a 12V outlet. Then you can plug in your own USB if you want, at several amps or use the 12VDC outlet.

The stupidly of the USB is getting to be more common these days. I had to change every one of them in my 2022 RV. It had about ten USB outlets and not a single 12V outlet. But all the outlets were fed with 12V, as is the norm. Now I have all 12V outlets, no useless USB outlets at all. But I have the plugin adapters.

Simple to change the dashboard USB to a 12V outlet. The USB ports have a 15A fuse, so plenty for any GPS. There‘s also a second 12V port behind the dash, left side, that has a JST 2-pole connector. I have used that one for my Garmin Zumo XT which sadly does no longer support the TPMS.
I had the Garmin Zumo 395 with TPMS on my Esse Esse. It was close to the calipers - but however it was okay. Don, you can ask your dealer to rotate the valve a bit so there is room for the TPMS cap. Experia has the same wheel configuration than SS9.
The photo shows the Hella plug for the double USB supply plus the mentioned JST connector for GPS. The cable is even labeled with GPS.

Thanks for that handy info! What has to be done to rotate the valves? Does the tire need to come off the rim?

Can’t say. I had the valve rotated when I got new tires as the valve was pointing to the left hand side of the bike. Surprisingly, this is again the case on the Experia. However I like it better on the right hand side since this is better accessible when the bike is parked on the side stand.
Just ask your dealer if he can do this. But before: check the clearance - it might just work as it is.

Here is how it is done with the wheel still on the bike.

I just got the call from Pro Italia in Glendale, CA that my new Experia is ready to go. I hope to ride it home sometime this week. I have to say, I'm pretty excited. Does anyone have recommendations for insurance carriers?

I use Progressive. tel:1-855-347-3939.  Insure it as soon as you have your VIN. And send a copy to the dealer. Even if you pay cash for the bike, the dealer will still require it to be insured before you ride it away from the shop.

Yes I did the other day...ZNNF2B18XRS000029..! I even have the motor serial number!

As I understand it, there's 7 Experias now in Aus, three customer bikes, three demo bikes and one "promotional" bike...which I assume will be for press/magazine use.

Thank you Don. That makes it easy as my other bikes are insured with Progressive. Your tips, questions and input are always good to hear.

I have always had my electric motorcycles insured with Progressive for 250K/500K liability only. In 2009 my Electric Motorsport GPR-S was insured for only $5 for the entire year. The company gave it an engine size of "1cc".   ;D  Now my 2018, which is insured by Progressive for the same amount of insurance, costs $120 for the year, whereas my BMW R1200RS has the same coverage and its premium is $105.   ???
