It's February and . . . .
« on: February 09, 2023, 04:47:55 AM »

My 2023 Experia is at the shop at A&S in Roseville!  I just now received the Email.

I will head back from this trip on Friday and be at the shop on Tuesday to finish the business!

I can complete this trip in my other RV soon enough.

Congrats Don! I'll be curious on your thoughts once you get a chance to ride it some distance.

Glad to see them rolling in!  I almost have my Zero sold, and I want to order an Experia.  Anyone know about how long the lead time is?  Hoping april ish If I ordered now?  Maybe that's wishful thinking...

I assume you will have to wait a lot less than I did (more than 8 months)but I will guess at least three months for you. Just my guess, nothing more.

BTW,  the out-the-door price on the Experia Launch Edition in California (this includes my 3K$ deposit, CA DMV fees, CA Sales Tax and everything else other than insurance) is:

$29,291.90

Ouch! At that price I wouldn't want to take it very far off road. I sure am looking forward to walk-around photos and your analysis of your new bike, comparing it with your Zero and your other Energicas.

The only electric bike I would consider taking off road is the one I have with me right now. But for a different reason. Bikes are easy to dump when off road. Even the Zero DS  with the small battery is heavy enough when dropped.

Many bikes feel very light until they are dropped!

Besides, I really don't do any off-road riding unless you consider unpaved roads to be "off-road". I am often on unpaved roads on either my Zero DS or my 2002 Suzuki DR200SE.

Yah, they go over real easy once they start teetering.
also, given the weight of these bikes, when you DO dump it, you ARE going to tear stuff up.
it's just a given.
50  dollar new break lever.
40 dollar new back break foot pedal
50 dollar new blinker light
5 dollar sharpie to color in the smudge on your 400 dollar plastic fairing...

dumping them gets costly :D

On the way home, I stopped off at A&S Motorcycles in in Roseville, CA I am now the legal owner of the 2023 Energica Experica, all insured and all.

The total out-the-door price here in CA with sales tax, DMV fees, etc, was $29,291.90. That includes all CA DMV fees and taxes, my deposit, etc. Everything except for the insurance.

Very nice looking bike. They will deliver it to me sometime next week, perhaps on Tuesday.

My VIN number ends on 000018. The 18TH Experia made by Energica. First one insured by Progressive. Wasn't on their list. Is now, thanks to me.

It will take me a while to learn this thing.  Screens are quite a bit different.

Awesome! Congrats! Let us know if there's anything out of the ordinary we wouldn't think to know about it like when I got my first electric and only realized there's no "putting it in gear to park it" until I bought it. Not gonna back out now of course, just curious.

Don, congrats!!
Your story series “It’s September”, “It’s October” ect. is for sure the most prominent wait about the ExPee and I think many here have read every post.
Mine has VIN #48, the second at my dealer had #50. They were picked up directly in Modena - not sure but I think sea freight will probably take another 50 days, so that sea cruise is why we received later built bikes.

One hint: My bike was made ready for delivery during last week of January. Around that week there was also a new FW version available for the ExPee. Maybe ask your dealer if yours has received it. The dash does no longer provide any method of displaying the FW version like on the EsseEsse and Ribelles.

Before I evan take mine for a ride, I will have the Bullet Brake, TPMS and a GPS installed.

IMO, the Bullet Brake is a must on all electric bikes. Also works as a manual hill hold.

What is your go to method for TPMS and GPS? I want these as well. I already have a bullet brake on the ready.
