2020 SR/S Diagnostic Connector Pinout
« on: December 30, 2022, 08:31:30 PM »

The diagnostic connector on my 2020 SR/S uses 8 of the 16 available pins.  Five of the pins match locations specified in the SAE OBD-II Diagnostic Connector standard, J1962.  These are pins 4 and 5 (ground), pins 6 and 14 (CAN High and Low), and pin 16 (battery +).  Pins 8 and 9 are listed as discretionary in the standard and are use by Zero for serial communication with the Main Bike Board (MBB).  The unknown is pin 11, also listed as discretionary in the standard.  Does anyone know what pin 11 is used for?

Pin 11 is connected to ground for the CCM module. I assume it's meant to turn on the CCM if the MBB is unplugged (off?).
Power to the CCM is from the 12V battery and the ground goes to the MBB and OBDII connectors.
