It's December!
« on: December 01, 2022, 02:24:28 PM »

They first told me sometime in September. Now, when I check on-line (because nobody says anything after they got my 3K$ to order on June 1), it says "sometime in the fall." Fall ends officially on Dec 20.

It's now December.

But what is not clear is if that means when they are shipped to the USA or delivered to customers.

I was told the launch edition bikes have shipped from the factory and are expected to be in California before Christmas. However I was also told they would be here by September. I am not expecting delivery this year but it could happen.

I changed my order to a black one, so I probably won't see mine until Feb/March I was told (by the dealer). Assumed production start (after Launch Edition) is in December. So all the Launch Editions were probably built/shipped and they are gonna start normal production shortly.

Maybe one of you will get my Launch Edition.

I am surprised you can now change your order on the Launch Edition as then they only had the one color.

I am not crazy about any of the three colors available, but I want to ride it, not look at it.

That's about what I expect, 3K$ has already been paid. I still have >30K$ set aside for the purchase (paying cash).

Of the three colors, I think I like the Bormio Ice best anyway.

I've already paid "in full", not withstanding registration and insurance costs of course. Received a message the other day saying the Experia now has full "road approval" in Australia, how they did that without a physical unit to look at is a mystery...so just a matter of receiving, setting up and riding it home l guess. They also mentioned there were actually 7 launch edition Experias coming to Aus, 5 customer units and 2 demos.....not the 3 l was originally lead to believe.

If l had the choice, it would be the "black" edition as my preference.

Was that required there in Australia to order? Here they want 3K$ to order. Perhaps they want 10% here in the USA covered to order.

I find it interesting that nobody voted that I will take delivery before winter comes. But several voted that I would not.

Not that I really care that much until spring.

It's snowing here right now and I am stuck home with COVID, so no real big hurry. I won't be riding anything for a while.

It was a 20% deposit required to cover the order, but l decided to pay the full amount, mainly because l didn't want to have money sitting around with the temptation to spend it on other things. ::)

I’m located in Germany, deliveries have always be made by receiving a direct truckload of bikes from Modena.

My dealer already ordered five Launch-Ed-Experias with the Energica without having customers PO’s for them. He was doing that after receiving one of the press test bikes for a week and a half and taking it out for a trip himself. He was reaching out for his most interested customers to do a test ride, I was lucky to get it for two hours (I‘m not the one in the first pic as I was taking that shot plus it is written in German and auto-translated via Google Translater, so not the best of language but you‘ll get it).

I placed my order with my dealer directly after that on Oct 6th, I was number three on his list.

Until now, there is no word from Energica regarding shipment. I trust my dealer is pushing the German sales rep and he is forwarding any news out to me asap.

What did you mean, check on line? Is there a website to check status?

Just now being shipped out from Italy? I assumed they were already on their way over to the USA if not in the states already.

Also,  the Experia could be different, and I have not yet heard anything.
