This looks like it could be a decent alternative to Zero's 7.2kW/h models from an established brand.

8kW continuous with 15kW peak with a boost button from a frame mounted motor, 143kg (the same as a 7.2 S/DS which is no longer available in Europe), a storage compartment in the tank area (like an S/DS, lacking from an FXE) large enough for a full face helmet, a motorway suitable 68mph top speed with 75mph in boost mode, and a competitive 7.2kW/h removable battery that will charge in 5-6 hours or 3.5 hours with an external fast charger (an FXE is like 9 hours, the 7.2 S/DS around 4-5 hours). No price yet, it will of course be more than their current most expensive model at £4.5k but with an FXE being a bit over £13k they have a lot of room to undercut it.

I find the styling a bit overdone and too complicated. But I do agree that if the bike is marketed in the U.S. and has an established retail, parts, service and distribution network it could gain traction in the lower end of the electric motorcycle market. It is just too bad that most government financial incentives in the U.S. have been eliminated for electric motorcycles - even though they help (by $7,500) to reduce the price of hybrid cars with batteries as small as 7 kWh, according to an article that I read in my newspaper yesterday.

I'm thinking this might make a good suburban commuter for someone who needs to ride on highways but not motorways.

I was thinking more for the European market, where Super Soco is already fairly popular. I don't know if would do too well in the US.

I'm thinking this might make a good suburban commuter for someone who needs to ride on highways but not motorways.
It should be fairly similar to the 7.2 Zeros, most riders would maybe even see a little more because the lower power is going to limit the rate of acceleration (and of course the top speed, but that doesn't apply to your question). My rough guess would be 35-40 miles, maybe more. Zero quotes 60 miles at 55mph but that's probably not going to happen.
