Charging?  I don't think the chargers on my 2017 FXS or 2018 SR are capable of any higher charging rate.   And if they are, it would likely compromise their longevity.

Range? So open up the margin between the gross battery capacity and nominal capacity?  How is this going to effect the battery longevity?

Power?  Programming the controller to feed more energy to the motor?   How is this going to effect motor temperatures and thus longevity?

Not being an electrical engineer, I would be hesitant to override the settings of the engineers at Zero for fear that it might screw up some pretty expensive parts; charger, battery, motor.  And Zero isn't going to warranty anything on your bike (assuming it is still under warranty), if during the inspection for warranty repair they discover you have hacked into the system with custom settings.

On the other hand, if you are simply replacing a 12v battery on a BMW or Porsche and you need to go to the dealer and spend $100-$200 just for the mechanic to plug in his computer and tell the car there is a brand new 80aH battery in the car, then I am all for finding a work around to that.   And I have purchased relatively inexpensive OBD controllers to do just that for various cars I've owned.

Imagine unlocking charging, rsnge, power...

You are confusing "right to repair" with "right to modify". Modifying your vehicles parameters to run outside the range set by the manufacture is a very quick way to void your warranty.

Check the Cypher Store, Zero are already preparing to sell unlocks for many of their existing models.

I would live in constant fear of the hacked firmware suddenly disabling manual throttle and maxing it out when someone access a backdoor through the built in SIM card or something equal sinister...  :o

SR/F, SR/S and 2022 SR aren't "many of their existing models".   Only the Cypher III models are getting unlocks.  And since some of those "unlocks" require dealer installation on 2021/2020 models, they aren't even unlocks but installation of new firmware or software or actual components.
