Motorcycle.com reviews the 2023 Energica Experia RS ADV tourer:  https://www.motorcycle.com/features/2023-energica-experia-rs-review-first-ride.html
"From what I was told by an Energica rep, the highway mileage is 130 miles at a steady 70 mph."  Real numbers instead of that meaningless "extra urban" BS!

Sounds like it will make it between my houses (99.0 miles up and then downhill) with only home charging.

One of my first rides on it otherwise will be from Reno to Bridgeport, CA  . 117 miles with places to charge on the way, in case I still get range anxiety. A new DC fast CCS charger is coming just south of Lake Topaz in the mickey-mouse town of Coleville (population is around 500), CA. I wonder if that will be completed before or after I get my new bike. Even if not, I can charge up in Minden, NV, 70 miles north of Bridgeport. The new CCS chargers there in Bridgeport have been reliable. I wonder if I will have enough time to enjoy the
fish Taco at the Barn (best fish taco anywhere, IMO, and you only want one, they are large) before the bike is done charging.  BTW, the chargers there are at the Shell Gas Station, and they are NOT "Shell Recharge". These chargers were put in just before they bought out Greenlots and changed the name to "Shell Recharge".  These chargers are "Electrify America" the same type as Wal*Marts. My least favorite because they don't use a card. They have to be activated by a Smartphone and I find that to be a hassle as I never keep mine on.

However, I am getting used to it, I had to recharge here twice yesterday. Click on the photo and you will see my Energica.

I wonder when this flakey forum software will be fixed!

It's not the forum. It's your computer. We've been through this.

All six of my computers and from many different connections and locations?  I kinda doubt that!

Unless it only happens with my log-in, which still makes it a forum bug.

You are the only person who has this affliction. I'm sure it's a coincidence, though. Keep on truckin'!!

You can use NFC off your phone to initiate the charge at EA stations I think. Same as Chargepoint.

I will have to try that at the next EA. But the big hassle is simply turning my SmartPhone on as I always keep it off and it takes a while to boot up.

I think from now on, if I know my next stop will be an EA charge station, I will just leave it on until I get there.

I have plenty of cards for the other machines and that's the best way of them all, IMO. I keep a CP card with my bike keys and another in my wallet (as well has have several others) as CP is what I use the most these days. Such as at Cisco Grove, CA, about midway between my houses.

Here is another ride review of the new Energica Experia that contains some interesting closeup photos.  But the prices mentioned made my eyes water.   :o  https://thepack.news/the-pack-tested-the-new-energica-experia-in-the-netherlands/

31,658.90 Euro =33,013.90 US Dollar

I wonder why it costs less in the USA than anywhere in Europe.

I'm not sure. I think Euro prices also include VAT and stuff whereas ours are before tax? The European MSRP was always higher than the US one.

None of the press bikes have a center stand and the sales literature was skimpy on this feature 'cept for a photoshopped preview wondering if it can be confirmed this will be included on the production units?

When I bought the Ribelle all taxes were included in the list price. Only extra is the license plate fee (Around $100) and shipping to the dealer (Around $400). Both are dependant of the country you buy the bike in. I believe it's mandatory to list prices including mandatory taxes in Europe, and to add the 'inevetable costs of ownership' as a seperate cost on the invoice.

Here in the USA, the norm is quite the opposite. But that well explains the higher prices in Europe.

BTW, anybody here know about the windscreen on the Experica?  Is it adjustable somehow? And if so, how is it done?

From the reviews I've read, it's a three position adjustable screen.
