Since my DSR is in the shop for a few days I have a SR/S loaner to drive to work with. On the way back I drove some known twisties with the occasional bump in the road, and two things struck me when riding the bike:
- The suspension bottoms out fairly early, especially hitting speed bumps at normal speeds
- When hitting a bump in a curve, the frame feels like a rubber band changing the geometry slightly

Am I the only one noticing this? Or am I so used to the on-rails experience of the DSR that the slightest thing sticks out like a sour thumb? Might be that I have some cognitive dissonance here

It sounds like the rear suspension needs to be adjusted to feed in more damping and spring preload. As I recall the SR/S has a fully adjustable front and rear suspension. Likely the shop set the suspension to full soft if the bike is a demonstrator so as to give customers going for a test ride around town a comfortable ride.

To be honest, the DSR is dialled in to my preference so that might be it... This is a rental as well so it might be set to plushy which takes away the 'sharpness' in the turns.
