Pilot errors on J-1772
« on: January 03, 2022, 10:36:20 AM »

At his location, using my external chargers, for the first time ever, I got pilot errors on J-1772. The message was on the screen. It's a 30 amp (7,200 watts) Blink charge station and my chargers only add up to 6.3 KW. It's a Blink J-1772. I have used Blinks before (in AZ) with no problem with the exact same set-up. But this Blink  is different as it has a screen to let me know what is going on.

When I only used the OBC, no errors. I get the pilot error when I connect up my Elcons.

I really didn't need the charge anyway, I just wanted to try it out since I was in the area today.

But it's my first pilot error ever on a J-1772.  This is the first time I have seen a J-1772 that checks for pilot continuity.

It said it was a 30-amp station, only has one plug.  So, what's the real problem?

I didn't try only one external charger to see what was happening, as I wanted to get back here before it got dark. Perhaps it really cannot do the full 6.4KW?
