Brake pedal wobble
« on: December 12, 2021, 07:48:06 AM »

I have an SR and I'm repacing the brake pedal and it's probably stupid, but is it supposed to have wobble/play in it? Or is it supposed to be super stiff? When all is said and done and it's all bolted together and torqued down, the pedal wiggles a tiny bit side to side. Does anyone else's do this?

My brake lever has about 1/8 inch of play in it on its shaft. Thinking about it it is perhaps a good idea to use a little grease on the shaft. Or if you are concerned about the grease attracting dirt, you could lubricate the shaft with a dry Teflon or silicone spray lube.

1/8  inch is about what I have. Or had. I stuck an extra washer on the bolt and that fixed it for the most part.

This is just one of those things I noticed putting it back together that I didn't ever notice before taking it apart. Just being paranoid.
