Evoke motorcycles
« on: November 12, 2021, 01:25:26 AM »

I saw a video talking about new bikes from Evoke motorcycles because they have such a big battery pack at about 30kwh nominal. With it also having CCS and a 3kw onboard charger at about 24k. This seems very compelling, however I can't really find any reading on anyone owning an Evoke bike. Does anyone have one from them? What are the general impressions on them?

The website looks like it is all just stock images and placeholders.

Personally I had a bad experience getting my "fully-refundable" deposit back which required PayPal's intervention. Communication was sorely lacking at that time (Urban S development). I don't know if it has gotten better or not but some of those claims seem too good to be true. Notice they don't list the weight? (I don't want to download the pdf without my vm's installed on a newer rig)

I would personally avoid like the plague but maybe times have changed.

That’s a shame. I wouldn’t consider putting money down unless they have a presence in my area and I can test ride it. Plus I’m not seeing anyone who owns any of their bikes in the US so that’s no good.

The Urban S and Urban Classic have had hundreds of deliveries; they're certainly not vapor. The 6061 is still in development.

My point is Evoke has a track record, unlike many other companies.

Are there any Evoke dealers in the US?

So for now, the 25K$ 6061 with the 30 KWH battery is vaporware, just as I expected.
