Hi,
A UK 2021 Zero S 11kW, around a hundred miles completed.
Does anyone have any idea what this recent noise is coming
from one of the brakes, can't decide if it's back or front?

If you're not actually pulling the brake (I assume not or else you'd know which one is causing the noise) then it would seem like it's being caused by the regen (although if you are pulling the brake it could still be regen, it would happen regardless of which brake you used). Simplest way to test this would be to put it in custom mode and turn the regen in the app all the way down, I don't know if it goes completely to 0% but turning it down should at least reduce the noise.

However it doesn't sound like the normal regen noise so I would say something is up, the fact it doesn't happen on acceleration is surprising.

Thanks, yes, I'm initially pulling the brake, just to take off a little speed as I go into the bend, the noise eventually fades as I accelerate along the straight to the next bend. To be honest the GoPro is on the left handlebar and I would think it is picking up noise coming from the front brake. With a helmet on and wind noise, the noise isn't as prominent to me as it is on the video. What I fear is that I have some road grit embedded in one of the pads which if true could obviously score the disc.

Watching & listening to the Video has me thinking side thrust load so perhaps wheel bearings as it only happens in corners (both left & right hand).

If it were brakes, I’m thinking you would be able to gently apply the brakes one at a time while in a corner and see if the noise changes. 
Do you feel any vibration in the foot pegs?

Thanks, Eric, I've since found out that it is noisy travelling straight as well as on a corner.
And, also just found out that my bike has been doing it since I bought it having looked
at video I recorded on my very first ride.
Seems to happen when breaking fairly heavy. This bike is new, so I think we can assume
that bearings should be spot on. I would say it was ok and nothing to worry about, but no one
has said that theirs does the same thing. So still looking :-)

Looks like I might be taking it to the Zero doctor. I just wanted to know if it's normal or otherwise.

My BMW F5650GS makes a loud howling noise when leaned over as I corner. I tracked that noise down to the odd worn Michelin Anakee 3 tire tread.
