UPDATE:
I hope this information helps other Zero riders to get through their own issues. This isn't a rant about Zero, just a narrative of the events.
Oct 9, took delivery of the 2021 DSR, equipped with Charge Tank.
Oct 9, experienced a charging mishap as noted previously. Bike lights up, throws error codes, but will not move.
Oct 12, returned the DSR to dealer.
Oct14, Zero instructs dealer to replace the MBB.
Oct 28, Zero instructs dealer to replace the motor controller.
Nov 9, Zero instructs the dealer to replace the motor.
Nov 18, dealer states the DSR passed its test ride.
Nov 19, dealer states DSR failed to charge overnight. They are investigating.
Between each of these dates Zero is shipping parts and the dealer is installing and testing. Both the dealer and Zero have been very cooperative and are probably just as frustrated as I am, so there isn't much to complain about there. However, the level of satisfaction with my $20,000 purchase has taken a bit of a beating. For that amount of money I could have replaced my BMW GS1200 with a newer model, but that would defeat the purpose of going electric!
I am still looking forward to enjoying many happier miles whilst out on the highways and byways...
