Disappointed that Zero didn't give the FXE onboard level 2 charging ability.

I wonder how much weight was saved by deleting the front fender?  ::) That is going to make the front of the bike a real mess after riding on a wet and dirty roadway.

The Motorcycle.com review mentioned L2 charging, but didn't provide any details.  ???
It's 2kg heavier and the top speed is 3mph lower at 82mph (the FXS says 82mph near the top of the specs but 85mph further down).

I prefer the new styling, has a hint of Husky to it and looks more modern. As for the dash I'm not impressed, it doesn't look like it shows any additional information and will probably be harder to see in sunlight.

It is nice but except for some visual changes I don't see any mechanical improvement over the fxs - same specs. They still have the front fender issue - i had to adapt a Zero S fender closer to the wheel to avoid being soaked while riding on wet roads.

Zero's managing board is nothing if not cheap. They never make an expensive change unless they feel they really need to. I wonder how they were talked into funding the development and production of the SR/F and SR/S?   ;)

The new bike isn't attracting me, set apart from the new display. If it would be possible, I would directly want to swap mine of my FXS2020 with this new one but I doubt this display will be available as an accessoire for existing FXS models.

I just noticed that Zero's website shows the FX and FXS with the updated display (and a funky new front piece). So, maybe they WILL offer it as an upgrade!

Interesting. Not all the pics and videos are updated with the new model, but the 360 and main image clearly show it.

I'm disappointed ! Thought there would be at least a 10% increase in range and some other improvements. The round headlight is lame unless it looks different lit up. Can't justify the price !

What electric bike can you get with better stats at that price?

It's a beautiful bike, priced OK considering the difficulties like part shortages.

If one already has an FX or FXS it's hard to justify upgrading. The range, performance and features have not changed significantly in nearly 5 years -- an eternity.

Why go to a color LCD if it's going to show the same things?

I wish they'd throw us a bone with at least one meaningful update, such as kWh increase, faster charging, perfectly smooth integration for throttle/brake/regen, TC, lower mass, keyless operation, reverse gear, parking brake, heated grips, colorful plastics, belt guard, water resistance, fancy display graphics, USB port, Android Auto/Air Play integration, helmet lock, etc. There's no shortage of ideas, as we have expressed our wish list several times.

Perhaps, with most Zero employees working from home during the past year and not being able to collaborate in person at the factory, that may have had something to do with the lack of power train improvements. Likely the TFT was plucked off of a supplier's shelf and the paint job could be accomplished by a consultant like HUGE in San Francisco, with little involvement by the Zero engineers. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the Cyber II operating system was developed by an independent consultant and not by Zero employees. Maybe there will be a substantial improvement in the FXE platform a few years in the future once things get back to normal - whenever that might be.  ::)

True, except that it hasn't changed much since 2016 except for battery sizes.  I'm fairly certain Zero realized that OBC was a problem years, among a few other things.

In the past decade the Bay Area has dropped from the flagship region for premium motorcycles to something like #20, behind Greece and the rest of Europe.  The blue collar has been priced out, ratty clubhouses have been sold, and those left have moved away from street riding because of lawlessness.  This is visible in many of the new owners and builders of electric motorcycles being from flourishing regions like the Netherlands.

True. For sure there is not Moore's law improvement.

Is that why none of those produce as many?

Until it's a product we can buy, it doesn't matter.

Not that it isn't a problem that NIMBYs are destroying the state economy by slow degrees.

I think it looks great. I read somewhere that it had a 3.5hour charger option but in that video it's not on the bike apparently. That would be the only reason for me to upgrade from my FXS, I can't believe they did not do that.

To the people breaking belts over speedbumps, I have no idea how you do that. I JUMP mine over speedbumps almost every time I ride and it's still on the original belt.

They just talking about when you add one of the Quiq external chargers chargers, same as the FX/S. I also regularly jump my bike and take it over rough terrain and have yet to snap a belt.
