When and where are you testing out the FXE tomorrow?  Where's the best place for us to look for info as it is revealed?

We don't know any specifics....maybe E is for "extended" --   extended range??

We get to play with one in person on July 13

AF1 Racing is a highly respected dealer in Texas, so they get early access to goodies. I'd stay tuned to Zero's website for the Big Reveal.

So it's an FXS with LED lights, different body work, the Cypher II system, and the same dash as the SRF/S.

And that's all.

Yep, you beat me to it.  It's a gussied up FXS.  No important updates like better charger, battery, traction, etc.

That said, it IS very nice, and I'd easily buy one over an FXS.  I could do without the 7.2 billboard on it.

A little disappointing BUT (to my eyes) it is a HELL of a lot better looking than the previous FX line.  Those things always looked "insect-like" to me.  I guess, in order to keep the weight down, they decided NOT to give it L2 charging.  Mores the pity.  Looks like the street version was released first but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a more dirt-oriented one coming out shortly.

I find it hard to believe after all this time, there isn't a vendor out there who can supply them a better integrated charger above 650W.  A little thing like that would go a long way.  I think the FX line is the slowest charging electric motorcycle out there, when comparing time-to-charge and battery size.

It’s not the same dash as the SRF and SRS, different shape, different layout and it also has buttons on the front. They also speak of a “glued” tft, I think they mean optically bonded with that. That is a better way to fix condensation in the dash then on the SRS and SRF.

Not sure if I'm missing something or if this is a mistake.  If you expand to full specs, it lists MSRP as $11295, but then right below that under Build and Price, it says starting MSRP is $11795.

Also, it appears that the FXS is now only available as modular and a 7.2 FXS costs more than a 7.2 FXE.  There's not enough new to entice me to trade in my FXS, but given the option between a new FXS and a new FXE, I'd definitely go for the FXE.

"The bike of tomorrow" looks pretty retro to me. The body work and round headlight make it look like it just drove out of the 90s or something. I could be in the minority here, but I don't like this style. I'll stick with my more futuristic looking FXS. The one thing that does invoke a future feeling is the new dash, but since it is not tied to any new tech, like cypher iii, I'm unimpressed.

The one other change that might have an impact is the new front fender. I'm undecided if that fixed fender is a plus or minus.

I do like the style changes.  I like my 2020 FXS, but not enough to change.

If that fender fixes the sunlight burning issue on the front fender, it's worth it.  I would like to see an independent review comparing the lumen output of both lights though.

The new bike isn't attracting me, set apart from the new display. If it would be possible, I would directly want to swap mine of my FXS2020 with this new one but I doubt this display will be available as an accessoire for existing FXS models.

Personally I don't like the looks of the new head light, the make the motorcycle a little common, to common. On the other hand these are finally led lights which is more in line with the electric motorcycles message, maybe Zero is changing over to led throw out there range, would again an interesting upgrade possibility if provided.

Overal the good news for me is that de FX platform is still alive and been developed without mayor changes, so add least we can be sure of further support and maybe upgrade possibilities for the existing bikes

The new headlight will fix the fender burn issue.
That problem was the old lenses acting like magnifying glasses focusing the sunlight to a small point.

I think the FXE needs a small sort of cafe racer style fairing /wind screen.  Nothing good comes from that cell phone dash being in the wind stream and rain with compounded speed force.

I guess they feel a constant stream of sandy oily rain spray from the front tire is ok for the bike too.

Sorry but no excuse for not dropping at least 1 of the 3kw J plug chargers where the "tank" is.  It would really open up the bike to more uses without increasing weight much at all.

I wonder how much weight was saved by deleting the front fender?  ::) That is going to make the front of the bike a real mess after riding on a wet and dirty roadway.

The Motorcycle.com review mentioned L2 charging, but didn't provide any details.  ???

It is nice but except for some visual changes I don't see any mechanical improvement over the fxs - same specs. They still have the front fender issue - i had to adapt a Zero S fender closer to the wheel to avoid being soaked while riding on wet roads.
