My guess is the "E" is either for "energy" or "economy"... I wonder if they plan on adding battery capacity, or cutting some corners and lowering it for a more economical version.

They already kinda have that with the single brick FX. I'd like the E to stand for Enduro and, in fact, beef the thing up.

Enduro...yeah, maybe "E" stands for "belt less likely to break over minor speed bump".

We don't know any specifics....maybe E is for "extended" --   extended range??

We get to play with one in person on July 13

Appears to have a single round headlight, as a proper motorcycle should. The current FX headlights are not the best.

Nonsense! They're fender-melting good!

I'm going to have to second MVetter here. A single round headlight just seem old and our of place in the future we live in.

I actually wasn't kidding. It's not uncommon for the FX bulbs to treat the sun as a magnifying glass and burn/melt the fender. There'll be little scorch marks below each headlight.

We got the SRF.  We all thought the F stood for fairing.  Nope no fairing, it's a bigger street fighter look.  OK.
Then we get the SRS.  "Look it's the same bike but with fairings".

I guessed the FXE would be extra range or express charging to go with the E months ago.

I sure hope it doesn't turn out to be a damn Grom sized toy.

What I need on my FXS ?
   - more torque
   - better front fender (had to fix it to avoid water projection)
   - more powerfull lights
   - some more autonomy
   - more robust back fender
   - better plastics (after 4 years they aged a bit)

9kWh battery, round headlight, traction control.  Those 3 things would make me sell my 2020 model.

I'd say yes a 9-10kWh battery, sameish weight, with the 3 kw charger stuffed in would make the X bikes much more appealing to both city and now suburb riders and the extra range for off road FX guys.  Throw in the SR motor and controller and now you're talking.

Ah yes, I forgot a better charger on my list.  Yeah, the current 700W would be even worse with a larger battery.

I would almost (almost!) upgrade for traction control alone, if it was smart enough to prevent spin up from simply going over a pothole.  I was one of the unfortunates to had a belt break at 500 miles so now I'm paranoid about it.
