14.4 battery details - questions?
« on: May 10, 2021, 05:19:15 AM »

So this goes back to my programming questions a custom charger - but my other thread went off topic (in great directions, so that's totally okay!)

But I have some questions:

When looking for getting a charger programmed, for the 14.4, does anyone have these answers?

Number Of batteries In Series ? (i think 32?)
Nominal Voltage of each battery ? (i believe its 3.65)
Amp Hour(Ah) of Battery Pack ? (i believe its 114?)

Thanks all!

Hey;)

should be
28 cells in series, usually called 28S.
Nominal voltage 3,65V is correct.
Amp hour is 4 cells parallel of 32Ah, so 128Ah.

Gives about 14.4 if you multiply it all up;) (they're lying cause they use 4,15V or something, the full cell voltage to calculate their total energy)

Nominal voltage of each cell is 3.65, but they asked battery, which would be 102. The bike recognizes them as 28.5Ah for a total of 114Ah.

Doesn't give you anywhere close to 14.4kWh if you add it all up, which you clearly didn't do.

What did I not do?
You didn't account for the safety margin that Zero gives their battery packs since their industrial/public clients tend to charge every day.

I don't think it's a big deal, either, no.
