Hahaha we just shot too much footage, so this 19 day trip will probably end up being a 10 episode series, which will take me 5 years to finish editing  ::) ;D

I really love to see those pictures.
And the bike is awesome!

But why oh why did Energica built it to be such an unnecessarily noisy bike? This appalls me so much.

It isn't so bad IRL. I could clearly hear the mounting frame of my license plate vibrate. Enough to make me screw it down directly to the holder :). Looks like microphones on GoPros tend to be much more sensitive on high frequencies.

Is it loud with earplugs in though? I'm guessing maybe it's not that bad at all. (Shame I never got to do over 30mph on one to find out). I quite like the spaceship noise it makes.

I usually ride with earplugs on my Yamaha, but not with the Energica. Wind noise takes over at around 70 km/h (if you are not accelerating hard).

Wind noise is why I wear earplugs on ANY bike be it ICE or Electric.

Same here... I must have ridden for 10 years before I realised I was going deaf from riding. Last 20 years has been with earplugs in, always, and my hearing hasn't got any worse.

Yeah it's loud, but they did that on purpose.  I feel like the Energica's reduction gear noise replaces the sound of a gas engine so it's easier for bikers to make the switch to electric without "losing the soul".  On the highway you don't even notice it, but around town, there's no sneaking around like on a Zero  ;D
