Basically if the folks at Elcon have a plug and play unit that I can setup to pull from a dryer outlet adapter that isn't too costly I'm interested.
That's no longer available. The newer ones are lighter, smaller and more powerful and even cheaper. But you have to wire them in yourself, as I did. Really wasn't all that difficult.
So where are you leaning when it comes to getting the bike?
I have been out riding all day with my Livewire buddy. I was on my Energica. I was rushing out this morning because it was getting close to the time for me to be at his place, about 15 miles southwest of here. Now I have more time.
Now that I have been out of the shop for a day, I am almost forgetting about it. I like the bike, but with my 2017 SR, it has MORE range AND charges faster. The only disadvantage is I have to carry the chargers around for longer trips. And I don't see that as a 23K$ disadvantage, as it has been working out great for me as is. And I normally don't take the chargers because I also use it for most of my short trips, which is its most use.
After riding my Energica all day today, I think that is more the way to go. The reverse came in handy a couple of times today. I don't have to be so careful with where I park.
So I will just wait and see what happens. I probably won't go back into Elk Grove Power Sports for a while. But if the bike is still there the next time I am in there, anything can happen.
If I did decide to buy it yesterday, it would have been more by compulsion than any logic. A day does wonders for logic.
BTW, the guy with the LW is the programmer for the Elcon chargers! That is how we met!
